NIC Monthly Meeting January 26th 2023 8pm EST/5pm PST – How to Protect Your Invention Overseas

Matthew Bryan serves as Director of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Legal and User Relations Division at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a position he has held since 2004. Mr. Bryan is responsible for providing PCT legal and strategic advice to users, overseeing the resolution of “special handling” cases, PCT-related teaching and training, managing relations with PCT users, providing the “PCT Infoline” service, and advising PCT Contracting States on legal issues relating to their PCT responsibilities.  He speaks frequently on PCT and WIPO matters, has testified before parliamentary committees, and served as a PCT expert witness in litigation.  On behalf of WIPO he has taught about the PCT in 70 countries.
